Death Valley Geminids
The Geminid meteor shower is considered to be the best of the year, and is known for its ability to produce many bright, streaking meteors. Operating under a special Commercial Usage Authorization permit from the United States National Park Service, you will be shooting from before sunset until late at night each night to capture the widest possible range of nightscape subjects. The first quarter moon will gently illuminate the incredible scenery of Death Valley National Park, and then set around midnight to allow true deep sky imaging under dark night conditions. The best of both!
Learn how to plan, prepare, shoot and process stunning images of the Milky Way, Aurora Borealis, star trails, full moon, enormous panoramas and much more. Want to create stunning time-lapse videos of sunsets fading into the Milky Way rising in the east? Curious about astronomy and the night sky? If your answers are “yes,” then this workshop is for you!
